Most Fascinating Abandoned Factories

Delco Manufacturing Plant, Rochester, New York
Rochester entered the industrial age with the building of canals and the establishment of a strong flour industry that soon waned. Other industries followed, and the city has always been able to reinvent itself to accommodate the changing economic tides. After the flour boom came the flower industry, then Eastman Kodak and Bausch and Lomb, a thriving garment industry and more. There are still plenty of old factories left such as the Delco Manufacturing Plant, which changed hands a few times after its peak, but then ebbed and in the end was abandoned. Of the three original buildings, one burned down and the other two are frequently used for illegal activity.
